Celebrating 20 years of Volleyball!
20 Years of Volleyball in Green Bay (Green Bay Power- One Wisconsin)
One Wisconsin Volleyball Club has deep roots that trace back to the fall of 2004 when Wisconsin Power hosted its first tryouts for a new location in Green Bay. That inaugural season saw the formation of 13 teams, forever changing the landscape of club volleyball in the Green Bay metro area. Over the next 14 years, Green Bay Power provided thousands of athletes with the opportunity to compete at a high level in club volleyball across the country.
In 2018, Green Bay Power merged with the Wisconsin Volleyball Academy from Appleton, creating One Wisconsin Volleyball Club. Since the merger, One Wisconsin has operated primarily out of our Green Bay location, building on the strong foundation established by both clubs. In 2021, we formed a partnership with League One Volleyball, also known as LOVB (pronounced “love”). LOVB champions every stage of an athlete’s journey, nurturing youthful passion, celebrating professional talent, and developing coaches to lead future generations. This partnership will culminate this year with the launch of their women’s professional league, showcasing top talent from around the globe. Through this collaboration, One Wisconsin athletes gain access to invaluable resources, including mental training, recruiting support, community building, and much more.
Since 2021, One Wisconsin has more than doubled its offerings for youth athletes in the Green Bay area. That year also marked the addition of our first boys’ team, along with the launch of our Panthers satellite program in Oconto Falls and our Door satellite in Door County.
As we celebrate our 20th season, we are excited to provide club team opportunities for over 500 athletes across the One Wisconsin community, along with countless additional options in leagues, camps, and clinics. We are immensely grateful for the past 20 years and all we have accomplished together with our athletes, families, and community. Our commitment remains steadfast to serve our volleyball community, just as Green Bay Power began and as we have continued to evolve.
